I tend to watch comedy and rom-com films because they're easy to watch, are usually quite predictable and most importantly they don't give me nightmares. The last film I watched, although brilliant, was quite a tough watch at times so I wanted to make sure that the next movie I saw was going to be something light-hearted and a bit daft. So when I saw 'What Happens in Vegas' on the returns shelf at the library, I had to watch it because it looked exactly like what I was looking for. Total strangers Joy McNally and Jack Fuller aren't exactly having great fun in life at the moment. Joy has been dumped at the surprise birthday party she was throwing for her now ... I have to be in the right mood for a romantic comedy otherwise I'll loose interest and moan before it's even halfway through. As I find them to be generally quite straightforward and pretty predictable I find it's best to watch them when I'm feeling a little tired and not really looking for something that will challenge my brain in any way. So after a busy day yesterday I settled down to watch What Happens in Vegas with the hope that it would be easy to watch and enjoyable. The Plot The film focuses on two American individuals called Jack and Joy. Now these two characters are complete opposites; Jack is an easy going guy with little thought to a ... Rating:
What Happens in Vegas is yet another romantic comedy that's not particularly romantic and not overly funny. Released in 2008 it follow the lives of Jack (Ashton Kutcher) and Joy (Cameron Diaz) who meet whilst partying in Las Vegas. The two drink late into the evening and end up getting married. The morning after, they're both regretful and after an argument they agree to separate. Just as they agree this, they put a quarter into a slot machine and win the $3 million top prize. Naturally, they both claim that the prize is theirs and unable to agree, they go to court for a divorce and a settlement. Sick of couples not taking marriage seriously, the ...
