What happens in Vegas is the 2008 romantic comedy directed by Tom Vaughan.
Synopsis
Workaholic Joy has just been dumped by her boyfriend and easy going Jack has just lost his job. Their friends decide that the only way to get over it is to go to Vegas. Whilst they are both in Vegas they randomly meet, and end up spending a boozy night together.
The next morning they both wake up together, only to find that they have got married. At breakfast they argue, and decide to get a divorce. As joy is walking away, Jack drops a quarter in a fruit machine, and wins $3,000,000. Joy decides to stay, and when they arrive back in New York go to court in order to fight over the money. The judge states that they must stay together for six months, whilst being monitored by a marriage advisor to be able to share the money. If they split up before, then all the funds will be confiscated.
Joy and Jack then begin to devise more ways to try and make each other split up, only to find that they are beginning to
develop a strange attraction to each other.

A good film. A slight twist on the normal romantic comedy theme as it actually focuses for a bit on arguments and fighting. I think Aston kutcher is a great actor, and he certainly proves his worth in this film. Cameron Diaz is not one of my most favourite Female actresses, but she certainly acted a lot better than I thought she would in this film. There are some hilarious moments in this film, which obviously helps the comedy side of things. It is slightly predictable as you know that they are going to end up together, despite the initial arguments and fights. Speaking in financial terms it was a huge success. It was produced on the modest film budget of $35,000,000 and raked in $200,000,000. It received a low score on rotten tomatoes.com which I thought was not deserve at all.
A good film, worth the watch for comedy and romance fans alike.
