Advantages: Brilliant acting, a twist to the story, makes you jump

Disadvantages: makes you jump

I am not one for scarey films, I dont like blood and guts, but I do like films that make you jump a bit, you know the type where you need a man to grab to protect you!

I like scream, I know what you did last summer and this film.

I think the screaming, and the msic from the orchestra are what make it scarey more than anything else really. It is the sort of film where you are expecting something to appear but still jump out of your skin.

It stars Michelle pfeiffer and Harrison ford.

Michelle play's Claire the wife of Norman Spencer a professor, played by Harrison ford.

Harrison Ford is Extremely busy working on a paper on his research in genetics, so Pfeiffer is left alone a lot.

Pfeiffer was a single mum to daughter Caitlin and was travelling with an orchestra when she met and married Ford.

They then moved into a beautiful house which belonged to his father, and is set next to a picturesque lake in Vermont.

But now Claire is alone and suffering from empty nest syndrome after sending her daughter off to college.

Now alone in the house strange things start to happen. Doors open on their own, switches keep blowing their fuses and faces keep appearing in the bath tub.

She starts to think it is the face of her new neighbour trying to contact her,who disappeared shortly after moving there, and believes that the womans husband killed her.

But things make a dramatic twist when the missing neighbour turns up after a stay with family. So now she starts looking into the disappearance of a beautiful missing student who went missing 1 yr ago.

Around the same time of the missing students disappearance Claire had a car accident in which she drove 80 mph into a tree, and can't remember a thing leading up to the accident. But now she starts to remember things with the help of the ghost of the missing student.

I wont tell you any more of this film as it will ru
in the twist in the film.

I watched it in darkness and with the speakers turned up high around the room to help me really get the feel of the film. It is a must see film which you will really need a pillow to hide behind for those jump out of your seat moments.

Both pfeiffer and Ford play their parts brilliantly as always, so what are you waiting for go out and hire it.

I sat and watched this film with my other-half (he fell asleep - it's not his type of film!) and I thought it was excellent! I know the twist you mean, and I really didn't expect it to happen ~ you know what I mean? Emma :-)

I really didn't want to watch this film, but my friend forced me to, lol. I'm glad I did as it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be.
