This is a movie which obviously had big ideas but ended up running out of ways on how to implement them. The general idea is great, but the execution could have been so much better...but its still one of the best bad movies you are likely to see. When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth is a very brave attempt at making a movie which is a little different. Plotwise, it is little more than a rehash of Romeo and Juliet, but set in prehistoric times to add a little spice to the preceedings. You have a scantily clad hunk in a loincloth from one tribe falling for a scantily clad babe in a furry bikini from another. Of course neither tribe is too happy about this so they go on ...

WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH stars the beautiful Victoria Vetri as a cave woman. The storyline very basically follows the plot of ROMEO & JULIET in that she belongs to one tribe and the man she loves belongs to another, and they have to overcome obstacles in order for their love to survive. The dinosaurs themselves do not look too bad, but in this day and age of computer generated special effects, they do unfortunately look a little dated. Vetri carrys her role of to perfection (she doesn't have to act much, just stand around looking dumb, which she does quite well!) although the other actors are somewhat wooden. ...
