When the Christmas holidays arrive, a college student finds herself without a ride home and opts to check the campus notice board to see if anyone has one to offer. When she finds a name and number that seems to be going her way, she scribbles down the number, makes the call and arranges to meet in the car park on December 23rd. When she turns up to meet her ride, she's more than a little disappointed with his run down car, but with few other options she loads her stuff into the boot and sets off. The two of them get off to an awkward start. Bored and clearly not impressed with her driver, the girl gossips endlessly on her mobile phone until she irritates her ... Read the complete review

Wind Chills synopsis gives little hope of drawing in a massive audience the story follows two college students who while travelling back home for the Christmas break become stranded, during their hours in isolation waiting to be saved they are haunted by the ghosts of people whom have died there. The girl (neither of them are named) complains about the boredom of highway driving, but is taken aback when the guy, the driver, takes a detour, claiming it is a short cut. The snow is heavy and driving is not easy, so when a car coming in the opposite direction doesn't move out of the way, their car crashes. Freezing cold, there is nothing that they can do but wait until daylight, still several hours off. Soon they realise that being cold is not the only problem they have to deal with - the deserted area they find themselves in is haunted by ghosts of past accidents. Even worse, ... In Wind Chill a spoilt rich girl has to slum it on a cross country drive home with a geeky philosophy student, unfortunately he decides to take the scenic route and the car crashes on an isolated road. They are trapped in snow drift in sub zero temperatures and things take a turn for the worse when mysterious people begin to wander past the car and don't stop to help. If that wasn't bad enough the only person who does stop is a menacing highway patrol man looking for a bribe. Moonlighting as director Gregory Jacobs (whose day job is Stephen Soderbergh's Assistant Director most notably on the Oceans films and Che) creates a wonderfully bleak atmosphere and ...
