One of the Best British Films your most likely to see!***** Five Stars.
A razor-sharp acid tongued 1980's British comedy, Withnail and I is a must-see cult comedy film.
It's 1969; the end of what for some was arguably the greatest decade of all time. Just one big Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n' Roll party with one problem - 'I' (Paul McGann) and Withnail (Richard E. Grant) never got an invite! Two unemployed actors share a slowly rotting flat in the middle of London (Camden Town) and don't believe in food - just booze and drug's. Trying to get a "Serious Job" is out of the question so they decide to embark on a chaos-fuelled journey to the North Country cottage of Withnail's uncle Monty (Richard Griffiths). This is where they start to strike a "bond" and the problems really start.......
Music by DAVID DUNDAS and RICK WENTWORTH (a great soundtrack)
Co-produced by DAVID WIMBURY
Executive producers GEORGE HARRISON and DENIS O'BRIEN
Produced by PAUL HELLER
Written and Directed by BRUCE ROBINSON
Summary: WITHNAIL AND I is a Film you'll want to watch over and over, It's a massive hit!! *****

- 21/05/08 Where's your opinion? There's scant little here to advise the consumer on what actually makes this a five-star movie. |
