The eleventh Wrestlemania was held in the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut on April 2nd 1995.

This Wrestlemania was nothing compared to it's predecessor, maybe they had run out of ideas, I don't know, but basically this was nothing compared to Wrestlemania 10. The best match of the night was actually the main event match, which is actually pretty rare. This match was Diesel versus Shawn Michaels for the WWF title.

Wrestlemania 11 was sickeningly sycophantic towards celebrities and had many guest appearances from people such as Jenny McCarthy, Pamela Anderson, and pint sized American prince Jonathan Taylor-Thomas (who?....the middle kid from Home improvement....why?? Exactly) to mention but a few. Pamela Anderson was also involved with an amazingly stupid storyline to do with Shawn Michaels. She was supposed to be accompanying him to the ring with Jenny McCarthy...but then fell out with him, blah blah blah. It was stupid and annoying... in the end she accompanied Diesel to the ring in an act of blatent disregard for Shawn Michaels. Ooooh... exciting!

anyway The diesel versus Michaels match was definately the best of the night, it wasn't an amazing match but it was pretty good, and you could tell that they knew each other well in the ring as the wrestling was pretty good, and made a good main event...especially for this Wrestlemania as the rest of the matches were pretty poor. No amount of celebrities could make up for that, sorry NYPD Blue cast, you just can't save the day, maybe if they had proper celebrities like Sonia the little liverpudlian gingernut and The Crankys then things would have been different....

The "Special challenge grudge Match" which was Lawrence Taylor (I had no clue who this guy was either...aparantly he was a star of American Football....) versus Bam Bam Bigelow. I have no clue why this event happened, and to be honest it shouldn't have happened. I blame the parent
s. They showed how the "Grudge" had built up, and this still didn't make anyone care.....and then a load of American footballers came out with Lawrence Taylor, so I thought it'd get interesting....then Bam Bam came to the ring with a load of wrestlers so I thought it would be wicked, but how naive of me to believe that anything could come of this, the match was pathetic to say the least and was just annoying....watch at your own peril....and don't operate heavy machinery while you watch as it does induce sleep.

For the Intercontinental title.....Double J Jeff Jarrett versus Razor Ramon.... now I was a little dissappointed that after his efforts in the last Wrestlemania Ramon could only deliver this pretty pathetic match, I mean it was a year on, he couldn't still be tired out from the previous one could he? Well, no he couldn,t he was just not trying hard enough. I blame the parents. They should have taught him to try hard all the time, but they failed and now their son perfroms mediocre matches at Wrestlemanias. I just hope they're happy with themselves. Double J on the other hand had a good upbringing and was taught to try hard, if only he had the actual talent to back it up, I am not a big fan of his, to be honest he is pretty talented, but this match wasn't amazing, and definately didn't live up to what it should have been....

For the Tag team titles the Smoking Gunns went up against Owen Hart and his mystery partner...ooooooooh! who could it be?!? The tension in our household was astounding. Really. Noone could eat or sleep the night before Wrestlemania because we were all just SO excited about who Owen's partner would be, infact I didn't sleep for a week before, which resulted in severe mental problems, JUST because of this match.....it had to be THE most eagerly awaited match in sports entertainment history.... everyone all around the world held their breath as the partner was to be announced, th
e whole world was on tenterhooks just to see who the mystery partner was......and it was.....(drumroll).......YOKOZUNA! This match was really boring....I did actually expect it to be an alright match seeing as though Owen Hart was pretty good, but then yokozuna was his partner and my hopes were dashed. Boring.

Bret Hart met Bob Backlund in the "Special Attraction I quit! Match" which wasn't special and it wasn't attractive to anyone... as much as I love Bob for taking up all the Milk Bottle White People (TM)'s cause I think he'd made his point well and good with just one Wrestlemania of being bright white, he could have given up after that political statement. Anyway this match wasn't good, I hoped it would have been, but again my hopes and dreams were shattered and I was left with nothing, just a big expanse of despair. Sorry, was that too dramatic? anyway, this was crap.

The Undertaker versus King Kong Bundy was also dissappointing....and extremely predictable. I can't even think of anything to say about it as it really was that crap. Urggh.

The only other match of Wrestlemania 11 was LexLuger and British Bulldog versus Jacob and Eli Blu....which was....erm, interesting... it wasn't amazingly crap, but again it was hardly good either, just boring, more like a match that should be on Raw or Smackdown rather than Wrestlemania.

Basically Wrestlemania had one highlight, which was the Shawn Michael's versus Diesel match... you know what they say "in every bag of shit theres a spark of gold"....the gold may be a piece of caramac rapper...but its still there.... (cheers Paul Calfe) anyway the point is that this match was pretty good, so its up to you if you want to wade through the rest of the shite to get to it. I'd reccommend the fast forwarding option. Its less messy.
