... because of the high-wire action. In the fourth match of their best of 7 series for the vacated US Title, Chris Benoit takes on Booker T; it's arguably the best match on the card, and is a lengthy, technical contest that makes the event what it is. Less good, but thankfully brief, is Bobby Lashley taking on William Regal and Paul Burchill in a Handicap match. It's a very predictable bout and just helps Vince establish Lashley as the powerhouse that he is; otherwise it's pretty useless and not very entertaining. ...more

Premium Review WWE - Armageddon 2005 (DVD): Above average WWE fare (313 words)

Rating:

Armageddon 2005 is a mixed bag, but ultimately it's a decent show with a great main event, even if there are some lower-card duds as per virtually every WWE PPV. The show opens with a real stinker, though, with John "Bradshaw" Layfield facing Matt Hardy. The match starts fine, but it has a horrendous and fairly notorious ending that makes everyone involved look bad. Better, though, is a tag match, with MNM facing The Mexicools in a fairly athletic bout that's low-key but fun because of the high-wire action. Rating:

WWE ARMAGEDDON 2005 was a Smackdown only pay per view from the WWE. The event consisted of seven amtches which I will provide, but not the results in case you choose to watch for yourself. MATT HARDY V JBL A solid opener betwen two experienced wrestlers. Nothing particularly stood out though it was decent. MNM V THE MEXICOOLS A good fun tag team match. Both teams are entertaining and have a good range of high flying and unique tag team moves. Good match. BOBBY LASHLEY V WILLIAM REGAL AND PAUL BURCHILL A handicap match purely in the card to show off the power of Lashley. Not bad, but nothing ...  Read the complete review

Match Review Matt Hardy vs JBL Nice to see JBL open the card and the crowd was into this one.JBL got a good heal reaction. The match it self was decent paced and JBL sold the moves well. The match did end a little quick though. MNM vs The Mexicools I rather not watch the Mexicools as they were just rubbish. MNM did well to carry them through but this one is worth skipping. Lashley vs Regal& Birchill Basically the WWE just wanted Bobby Lashley to look strong. Lashley got the win in a few minutes. Cruiserweight championship Kid Kash vs Juventud Kid Kash has talent and he proved it both of these men pulled ...  Read the complete review
