WWE Breaking Point is the WWE's latest attempt to innovate their PPV form, and although the original idea promised all-submission matches, it is in fact only the main events that are submission-based, so in fact this isn't as interesting as it could have been. The show opens with a match for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship, with champions Chris Jericho and The Big Showdefending against Montel Vontavious Porter and Mark Henry. If getting over the idea of Mark Henry being a face isn't difficult enough, this is just a sluggish match anyway. WWE BREAKING POINT 2009 was the first ever pay per view event with this title. The event contained two championship matches with the other matches between RAW versus SMACKDOWN with the winners receiving the Bragging Rights trophy and brand superiority.
