... really have the wrestlers leaving the cage anymore sadly, so this is a reminder of how inventive and crazy the match can be; they leave the Cell, wrestle on top of it, and, well, I won't spoil the rest. It's still the best match, with a cracking twist at the end. Also quite famous is the first tag team HIAC match on a Raw in 1998, which featured Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Undertaker vs. Mankind & Kane. This isn't a terribly good match but it's memorable simply for the level of chaos present here, and being t...more

Hell in a Cell, the most destructive kind of match in the entire WWE, has seen some of the most shocking moments in wrestling history over the past decade, but it does how signs of becoming harder to shock with, as i'll touch upon later with evidence from this 3 disc DVD box set. As a huge wrestling fan, I can remember the first ever Hell in a Cell match and remember thinking that that was great but they could do so much more with that and I have the same feeling watching it again on this DVD. It basically needed a raving lunatic to enter the structure to wow the fans with one or two memorable moments. Well, I didn't expect them both to come in the same match ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE's most brutal momments (186 words)

Rating:

Hell in a cell is probably the most notorious gimmick in wwe history. Being that every match (even the most recent ones in the companies more kid friendly era) are completely brutal. So before we even start i should say that these matches arn't for the faint of heart, but on the other side people who like the more violent side of wrestling will love this. With the exeption of one or two matches everything on here is something approaching a classic, with many momments that stand out in wrestling history, most noticbly the first cell match between Shawn Micheals and The Undertaker which really is a wrestling classic full of great action and suspence, the ...  Read the complete review

WWE HELL IN A CELL is a great DVD for WWE fans who love this kind of match. The hell in a cell match is a match where the competitors are locked inside a giant steel cage. It has been known in matches for the competitors to fight on top of the cage and the match can only be won by submission or pinfall. The dvd comes with three discs and all the hell in a cell matches. Mick Foley is the host and guides us through the matches. Here are some of the most matches included on the DVD. UNDERTAKER V SHAWN MICHAELS The first ever hell in a cell match. A great match and unique because it was the first. This match also featured the debut of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Comprehensive look at HIAC (308 words)
by - written on 21/10/09 (Very useful, 7 readings)
Rating:

It's frequently referred to as the most unforgiving structure in the history of professional wrestling, and the very match that changes careers forever and in extreme cases can even end them. This DVD is a comprehensive look at the Cell's best matches, tracing its origins right up to the latest matches. The first, and still best Hell in a Cell match kicks the DVD off, featuring Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker from In Your House: Badd Blood. Most Cell matches don't really have the wrestlers leaving the cage anymore sadly, so this is a reminder of how inventive and crazy the match can be; they leave the Cell, wrestle on top of it, and, well, I won't spoil the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE - Hell In A Cell - The Greatest Hell In A Cell Matches Of All Time (DVD): Welcome to Hell (287 words)

Rating:

Hell in a Cell, probably the most sucessfull gimmick match in wrestling history. A bold statement? Maybe, a lot of people love the ladder match and some hardcore fans prefer the all out no holds barred matches. And traditionalists may like the plain old steel cage. Although all those types of matches have a lot going for them, the Hell in a Cell match for me is the only one that seemingly every match there has been with the exception of one or two has been awesome. The Undertaker features heavily on this disc, some awesome matches he had with Brock Lesnar and Edge , but for me the two most important Hell in a Cell matches were the first two which were on PPV, ...  Read the complete review
