WWE NO MERCY 2005 was a SMACKDOWN only pay per view featuring 8 matches.
I will provide the matches, but not the results in case you choose to watch for yourself.

LEGION OF DOOM AND CHRISTY HEMME V MNM
A mixed six person tag match with the legends Legion of Doom entertaining the crowd. Would have preferred this match without the women because the action betwen the men was good.

BOBBY LASHLEY V SIMON DEAN
Lashley made his pay per view debut against the comedy character Simon Dean. This match was to show off the power and athleticism of Lashley.

HARDCORE HOLLY V MR KENNEDY
Kennedy was another new young and upcoming wrestler in the company. He faced off against veteran Hardcore Holly in a decent match if nothing spectacular.

US CHAMPIONSHIP - CHRIS BENOIT V ORLANDO JORDAN V CHRISTIAN V BOOKER T
This would have been better without Orlando Jordan as the other wrestlers really clicked well. Good pace to the match with a range of moves on show and some excellent near pinfalls.

JBL V REY MYSTERIO
This amtch didn't quite work as it featured two different styles of wrestling, JBL'S physicality and Mysterio's athleticism. When Mysterio got in some offence it was good, but JBL dominated for too long making it feel quite boring.

CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - NUNZIO V JUVENTUD GUERRERO
A really boring match that seemed to drag on for ages. Guerrero wasn't impressive in the ring and Nunzio has a boring style of wrestling.

HANDICAP CASKET MATCH - RANDY AND BOB ORTON V THE UNDERTAKER
The winner of a casket match has to put their opponent in a casket and close the lid. Orton had a fear of caskets and that was evident in this match. A hard hitting match which also had alot of good wrestling as well. Would have been better one on one as Bob Orton was slow, but still good.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - BATISTA V EDDIE GUERRERO
The story behind this match was that Guerrero was fighting with his emotions as to whether to remain friends with Batista or betray him. In this match he had the opportunities to cheat and beat Batista. A good match which told an excellent story with some near pinfalls and good wrestling.

Overall, this was a mixed event with some good matches mixed in with some rubbish. The main event was good as was the US championship match.

Lasting just under three hours and avaliable from AMAZON at £17.59 I would recommend other pay per views before this one.

Summary: NO MERCY HIT AND MISS.
