No Way Out 2009 continues in the vein of the last few No Way Out PPVs of having an Elimination Chamber match, although this event actually had two, and thus was quite an exciting, albeit not so varied PPV, given how it only had five matches, and two of them were in the Chamber. The first match was a Chamber match for the WWE Championship, which saw Edge (the champion) defending his title against, Triple H, The Undertaker, The Big Show, Jeff Hardy, and Vladimir Kozlov. A lot of the tension rested on the tri-fecta that is Triple H, Jeff Hardy and Kozlov; the three had been fighting a lot prior to the PPV, and it was in fact from Triple H that Hardy won his first ... NO WAY OUT 2009 was the penultimate pay per view before Wrestlemania so lots of issues were resolved and started during this event. I wil only provide the matches and not the results to avoid dissapointment if you choose to watch this event. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - ELIMINATION CHAMPIONSHIP - EDGE (C) V JEFF HARDY V VLADMIR KOZLOV V BIG SHOW V TRIPLE H V THE UNDERTAKER The rules of an elimination chamber are that the first four men to enter are put inside bullet proof doors inside the huge steel cage. The last two men to enter then start the match and then every five minutes one of the doors is opened so a new man to join in the action. When someone is ... Read the complete review

What makes No Way Out 2009 so entertaining is that the PPV feels as though it has a proper contained narrative within itself. This is greatly helped by the what has now come to be associated with the PPV itself - the elimination chamber match. Themes may not always please wrestling fans, but they are a big draw and are more often than not hugely entertaining. Along with the elimination chamber them, an actual narrative is provided - i.e. things happen earlier in the show that affect later ones. This is helped along with backstage segments, etc that are sparingly used in the PPV ... Read the complete review

WWE continued there impressive run on Pay - Per View with No Way Out 2009. The five matches here were all good solid wrestling matchs with the action filled no holds barred and elimination chambers. While the emotional investment was with the JBL vs Shawn Michales match, and a decent match between Finlay and Jack Swagger. Both chamber matches were both full of great spots and action, seeing the current champions both being eliminated early (Edge first in Smackdown chamber, Cena enters last in Raw chamber has a short good run then out) so we were garanteed to see a new champion. Very good matchs fast pace ( although this slowed in the smackdown one with Big ... Read the complete review
