WWE ONE NIGHT STAND was an event where all the matches were contested under extreme rules. The event consisted of seven matches which I will provide, but not the results in case you choose to watch for yourself. FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE - JEFF HARDY V UMAGA A really physical encounter to start the show where the match went all around the arena and concluded outside of it. Lots of unique moves and both competitors took some nasty bumps. Entertaining opener. I QUIT - WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - BETH PHOENIX V MELINA In this match you have to make your opponent say "I quit". A really good women's match with lots of physicality. Some ... Read the complete review

Spoilers in this review for One Night Stand 2008 Main Highlights of the PPV Jeff Hardy vs Umaga- Falls count anywhere match A good battle between the wrestlers hardy was most impressive in this match. Jeff Hardy though got the win at the end but it looked well fake. He went backstage and jumped of a lorry! The cameras were taking the shot from a distance so you could tell it was all fake. John Cena vs JBL in a first blood match This match was a typical Cena match with him getting a bad reaction from the crowd. He got his payback on JBL though in this match by making him bleed and getting the win. Batista vs Shawn ... Read the complete review

WWE One Night Stand is a recent addition to the PPV roster after its initial 2005 show which was to celebrate the legacy of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Since then it has been incorporated into the monthy line-up. WWE One Night Stand 2008 shows why the PPV has been a success, primarily because of the 'extreme rules' gimmick (every match has a special stipulation). This is a great show and without doubt, one of the highlights of 2008. Lets review the show: -- Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (Falls Count Anywhere) -- This is a surprisingly good opener, these guys are no strangers to eachother - this probably being the best ... One Night Stand started off as an ECW event that WWE produced in 2005 which came back under the ECW banner in 2006 both were at the Hammerstein Ballroom, New York. In 2007 WWE put all three brands together on the Pay Per Views so now it would be WWE One Night Stand and hosted every year but not at the Hammerstein Ballroom. 2007 of One Night Stand was a weak show it never did beat the first 2 events from 2005 and 2006 due to it having weak matches but 2008 of One Night Stand did improve on by a lot. So let's now get into this review Falls Count Anywhere Match Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga The falls count anywhere match this was a great opener ... Read the complete review

This year WWE has decided to change its product to aim at a more PG type audience, which means that One Night Stand 2008 was the last event of its name, as they thought it was too "suggestive". This year is it called Extreme Rules. However the will be the same as last year - all the matches fit some sort of extreme gimmick. ONS 08 was a bit hit/miss really - the headline was a fantastic Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with Undertaker and Edge. Jeff Hardy and Umaga also tore the house down in a very innovative Falls Count Anywhere match in an excellent opener, to put an end to their short feud. The ECW 5 Way seemed thrown together and ...
