WWE Summerslam 2005 was an excellent pay-per-view featuring many excellent matches. Kurt Angle V Eugene was a nice little match as anymtch with Angle usually is. The ladder match between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio was a superb bout of atleticism with a nice twist at the end. Although the storyline over Rey's child was a bit below the belt the match was way above the belt. THE WWE title match between John Cena and Chris Jericho proved to be Jericho's last pay-per-view match in the WWE for a number of years. This was a good solid match. Summerslam 2005 will probably be best remembered for Shawn Michaels unforgettable performance against Hulk Hogan, in which he carried the "Immortal One" to an excellent match. Watching Michaels bounce and bump around the ring is almost comical but it is a testament to Michaels being perhaps the best performer of all time. Elsewhere on the card we were treated to an excellent ladder match between Rey Mysterio and the late Eddie Guerrero which was marred by an unfortunate storyline involving Reys son Dominic.
