WWE SUMMERSLAM 2008 featured seven matches and an interesting segment.
I will provide the matches, but not the results in case you choose to watch for yourself.

JEFF HARDY V MVP
A good fast paced match. Lots of near falls and a really quick finish. Some exciting aerial moves as well. Good opener.

INTERCONTINETAL AND WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - SANTINO MARELLA AND BETH PHOENIX V MICKIE JAMES AND KOFI KINGSTON
The winning team would get the belts. A fun comedy match really with Santino relying on Beth to do all the work. Fun if not a great wrestling match.

Next came a entertaining segment involving Shawn Michael's who was coming out to give a decision over whether he was going to retire due to the eye injury he got. Michael's brought his wife out with him and was interrupted by Chris Jericho. Good verbal exchange followed. Entertaining segment.

ECW CHAMPIONSHIP - MARK HENRY V MATT HARDY
A reasonable chapionship match though the crowd weren't excited about it. Too slow for most of the match, but Hardy did try to raise the tempo towards the end of the bout.

JOHN CENA V BATISTA
The first meeting between two of the biggest stars in the company. The crowd were mainly with Batista. A very enjoyable match with both competitors going through all their moves to try and get the win. A physical match with a bit of athleticism and good to watch.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - CM PUNK V JBL
Another tedious championship match. JBL is difficult to watch in the ring because he has no athleticism. Punk did alright, but this was ordinary at best.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - TRIPLE H V THE GREAT KHALI
The third ordinary title match of the night. Khali is never going to provide great matches as he is so slow. A physical match with no athleticism and the crowd didn't like.

HELL IN A CELL - THE UNDERTAKER V EDGE
The Undertaker returned thanks to Edge's wife Vickie Guerrero punishing her husband's adultery by bringing the Deadman back. A really good match that went back and forth. Edge did every dirty trick to try and win. The Undertaker just gets better with age. A really good match with a shocking finish.

The DVD extras include the rematch of Mark Henry v Matt Hardy for the ECW championship and a look at a Suumerslam festival. The front cover also has a hot photo of diva Maria on a jet ski.

Overall, the championship matches were dissapointing, but the other matches were fairly good.

Lasting just under three hours and avaliable from AMAZON at £9.32 this is an average pay per view.
