... match with Jericho controlling most of the action. The right finish to end the match. THE GREAT KHALI V KANE A hideous match as these two monsters clashed. While it's physically impressive to see two seven foot men fight it can be awful to see because of the slowness and sloppiness which was the case here especially as Khali has no place in a wrestling ring. WWE SUMMERSLAM 2009 is the traditional summer pay per view from the WWE. The event featured matches from the Raw, Smackdown and ECW brands. There were 8 matches which I will review. INTERCONTINETAL CHAMPIONSHIP - REY MYSTERIO (C) V DOLPH ZIGGLER This was Ziggler's first title shot in the WWE. A solid opener with lots of fast paced action. Mysterio is always a joy to watch and carried the match. A decisive finish to start the show. MVP V JACK SWAGGER Swagger recently joined the Raw brand from ECW and set his sights on MVP who was on a role. The build up focused on Swagger focusing on MVP'S jail stint. Summerslam is one of the WWE's flagship PPVs, and although this is hardly one of the more memorable ones, or in any way a classic, it does have some satisfying bouts to offer, and even the matches that might not end the way you'd hope present some well-executed finishes and generally good spots of fighting. The theme of the show was old classic summer blockbuster films, and so the show opened with a memorable skit where HBK and Triple H had fiddled with the production truck before the show starts. Not really a fan of the WWE any more but my best friend watched this DVD so I watched WWE Summerslam with him. M.V.P vs. Jack Swagger Swagger was fantastic in this match look a good talent but they allowed MVP to dominate him too much. It was not a bad match to start of the PPV. 6/10 Kane vs. The Great Khali One of the reason's I no longer watch wrestling much! A poor match rather watch the wrestlers talk none of them wrestled well at all.
