Vengeance 2005 is a solid pay-per-view event wrestling-wise, although I find it difficult to characterise as overly satisfying because it simply reinforces Vince McMahon's relentless obsession with superstars Batista and John Cena. Thus, the resulting main event matches are quite weak and not necessarily worth bothering with, because, unless you like muscle-bound wrestlers who don't really have much skill, there's not much point to watching their attempts (and, well, you can guess what happens) to retain their titles. WWE VENGEANCE 2005 was once more a Raw only pay per view but took place in the middle of a draft tat was happening in the WWE. The event consisted of 6 matches which I will give, but not the results in case you choose to watch for yourself. INTERCONTINETAL CHAMPIONSHIP - CARLITO V SHELTON BENJAMIN These two young athletes provided a really good opening encounter. Lots of fast paced wrestling and aerial moves. A really good finish to the match with lots of near falls. Entertaining match. VICTORIA V CHRISTY HEMME I don't know how this match made pay per view. Wasn't terrible, but added nothing to the event. WWE Vengeance 2005 was a WWE Pay Per View that took place on June 26th 2005 in Las Vegas, and was a " Raw Brand " pay per view. The Matches ( Warning Spoilers ) WWE Intercontinental Championship Carlito ( C ) vs Shelton Benjamin. This was a solid matchup between to good workers, Carlito while not a huge fan of his work can produce solid matches, and Shelton Benjamin is and probably always will be one of the most underrated performers in the business, the match ended predictably enough with Carlito gaining the pin to retain his championship. 7/10 Victoria vs Christy Hemme As usual a thankfully short womens ...
