... HBK back into the match, giving him a nudge in the right direction, and even causing him to refer to Flair as "Old Yeller", and proclaim that he needs to be put down. Emotions ran extremely high for what was perhaps the most intense and hard-fought match of the entire pay-per-view, in what may be the final match of one of the sport's most iconic stars. What's more, there's no easy way out for either man, because McMahon threatened that if HBK gives Flair an easy ride, he'll pay for it with his own career. Th...more

note: also appears on Helium, thanks! The Road to WrestleMania 24 was a long one, filled with trials and tribulations, and as the summation of every superstar's entire career, it's no surprise. Three world titles were decided, scores were settled, and a career hung in the balance. Perhaps the most important match altogether at WrestleMania 24 wasn't about titles or accolades, but the career of one of the greatest and most celebrated wrestlers that the sport has ever seen. Whilst Shawn Michaels announced that Ric Flair would be inducted into the 2008 Hall of Fame on an episode of Raw, Vince McMahon clearly had more nefarious thoughts at heart, and ...  Read the complete review

This is a special show. 74,000 witnessed an historic show in Orlando as WWE superstars headlined the biggest WWE PPV of the year, Wrestlemania. This is historic for many reasons. It saw the end of the career of legend Ric Flair, Floyd Mayweather entered the wrestling ring for a match with a 7ft giant, and The Undertaker took his awesome winning streak to 16 Wrestlemania wins. The DVD is well worth purchasing, the 4hr show includes 9 matches along with bonus extras including a special WWE Hall of Fame ceremony where many legends who are foundations of the art were inducted. The Wrestlemania show consists of these ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE - Wrestlemania 24 (DVD): WRESTLEMANIA 24 - UNDER THE SUN IN THE CITRUS BOWL (512 words)

Wrestlemania 24, March 30th 2008, live from the citrus bowl in Orlando, Florida. This wrestlemania was once again a prolific night of wrestling from the WWE, and is known for being the first to take place in Florida and the second Wrestlemania to be held completely outdoors. I have watched it 4 times now for several reasons. To see Ric Flair possibly in his last ever match, and to see if the Undertaker can increase his undefeated streak to 16-0. The matches were top draw with a host of star studded celebrities like Snoop Dog (the master of ceremonies in the playboy bunny match), Kim Kardashian, Raven Symone and much more. This event was historic ...  Read the complete review

WrestleMania 24 was at Citrus Bowl in Orlando Florida now the arena was awesome it was out doors watch just made it so great during matches you notice it get from light to dark which just adds a more awesome effect. The matches on the DVD are better then what previous WrestleMania's had on offer such as been disappointed with at Mania's like 23 and 22. This one just has better quality matches and some which were just OK. Now lets get on with the matches. Belfast Brawl Finlay vs. JBL This was a good way to start of an event like WrestleMania I found it enjoyable both Finlay and JBL are good wrestlers. Trash Cans and such are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE - Wrestlemania 24 (DVD): WRESTLEMANIA!!! (232 words)

The biggest night in the WWE yearly events, in front of 74,000 people in attendance and millions of people live on PPV around the world this once again didn't fail to disappoint. Instead of running through every match i'll just mention the highlights that I felt this was worth getting for. The main event between Edge and the Undertaker was trememndous although the HHH v Cena v Orton was slightly disappointing. The Money in the Bank Ladder match was amazing move after amazing move. However the best match of the night for me was Ric Flairs final match against Shawn Michaels, this match was everything that is great about Wrestling. Action, ...  Read the complete review
