Advantages: Throughly entertaining from start to finish, Floyd Mayweather appearance, Final Ric Flair match

Disadvantages: Violence might not be your thing

This is a special show. 74,000 witnessed an historic show in Orlando as WWE superstars headlined the biggest WWE PPV of the year, Wrestlemania.

This is historic for many reasons. It saw the end of the career of legend Ric Flair, Floyd Mayweather entered the wrestling ring for a match with a 7ft giant, and The Undertaker took his awesome winning streak to 16 Wrestlemania wins.

The DVD is well worth purchasing, the 4hr show includes 9 matches along with bonus extras including a special WWE Hall of Fame ceremony where many legends who are foundations of the art were inducted.


The Wrestlemania show consists of these matches:

-- JBL vs. Finlay --
This is a good, old fashioned street fight which is entertaining from the start. 7/10

-- CM Punk vs. S. Benjamin vs. MVP vs. Jericho vs. Kennedy vs. Carlito vs. John Morrison --
This is awesome from the start. There are a lot of thrills in this and a lot of high flying action, this is one of the highlights of the show. 8/10

-- Batista vs. Umaga --
This is a battle for brand supremacy, a very physical match with powerful displays from both guys. 7/10

-- Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero --
I remember watching this and it was one of the biggest surprises on the show. 8/10

-- Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair --
This is the highlight of the show. Rarely does a WWE event make you feel real emotion which makes this match special, this is a match that will be remembered for years to come. 10/10

-- Bunnymania --
This is a diva tag team match with Snoop Dogg as the guest enforcer, thoroughly entertaining stuff. 8/10

-- Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H --
This is an awesome triple threat match for the WWE Championship. A very physical encounter with an extremely surprising outcome. 9/10

-- Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show --
Boxer vs. Wrestler. Mayweather gives a very mature display against a 7ft giant in a thrilling match. 9/10

-- The Undertaker vs. Edge --
To close the show we get a classic. The Undertaker is one of the greats and he deservedly gets to shine on this show. He is a legend. 9/10


In closing, I highly recommend this show. It is without doubt the best WWE PPV of 2008 and arguably recent years and is well worth the money for the 4 hour show and the extras. This is classic material.

Summary: I cannot recommend this DVD enough.
