... had the potential to steal the show, and while im not sure it actually did, it was quite the amazing match with each man getting his chance to shine on the grandest stage of them all, solid contest with some great spots that ran about 5 minutes too short in my opinion. 8/10 Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho. Not a bad match with some good strong wrestling, considering Shawn Michaels is in the ring with one of the best performers of the last 10 years I was a little surprised this didn't turn out to be a 5 star match, i...more

Wrestlemania XIX ( Henceforth referred to as WM19 ) was the 19th annual Wrestlemania Pay Per View event, it was held on March 30th 2003 at Safeco Field in Seattle Washington in front of 54,097 live fans. The Matches : ( Warning SPoilers ) WWE Cruiserweight Championship Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy ( C ) This is from the period, where for me Rey was one of the best in-ring performers to watch, however since then his gain of Muscle Mass and nagging injuries have made him a shadow of the wrestler he once was, but this was an impressive match that could have shaped up to be a 5 star match, had it not been booked to be too short, at less than ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Satisfying (379 words)

Rating:

WrestleMania 19 isn't particularly remembered among wrestling fans as one of the best WM PPVs, but it is a solid attempt and features an unforgettable main event, particularly due to the famous Shooting Star Press botch from Brock Lesnar. Overall, it retains the epic feel you expect from a WM event, and there's some great fights here. The first match sees Matt Hardy take on Rey Mysterio for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The match is WAY too short, though, and it's a shame that such talented performers aren't given more time. In the PPV's real dud, The Undertaker yakes on The Big Show and A-Train in a Handicap Match after his partner Nathan ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE - Wrestlemania XIX (DVD): WM 19 (276 words)

Rating:

Wrestlemania 19 was a PPV which was hyped mainly by three matches on the night. The best one was Hogan vs McMahon, Lesnar vs Angle and The Rock taking on Austin. Hogan vs McMahon no holds barred Hulk Hogan took on Vince McMahon in a match with a lot of tension. The two of them really took it to each other. McMahon showed he can actually wrestle and at one point even jumped of a ladder to hit Hogan down. The ending of the match was good and McMahon even stuck his finger up at Hogan at the end of the match! Classic Match! Triple H vs Booker T for the World Title Not really a classic match here but Booker T did well in this match. The ending ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WRESTLEMANIA 19 (301 words)

Rating:

Wrestlemania 19 held on March 30th 2003 was an action packed pay per view with top quality matches. Be warned that this report contains spoilers. The World Tag team titles were up for grabs when Los Guerreros, Team Angle and Rhyno and Chris Benoit fought in a good wrestling match with Team Angle coming up victorious. UNDERTAKER V BIG SHOW AND ALBERT - An awful match not worthy for the legend that is the Undertaker although at least he won. CHRIS JERICHO V SHAWN MICHAELS - This was a wrestling clinic with lots of near falls making this a great match. Michaels came out victorious though Jericho got the final cheap ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWE - Wrestlemania XIX (DVD): Fantastic Wrestlemania (187 words)
by - written on 08/06/09 (Useful, 8 readings)
Rating:

An excellent Wrestlemania which was headlined by the match that had supposedly been building up for twenty years - The Immortal Hulk Hogan vs his evil boss Vince McMahon. It was hardly going to be a technical highlight reel but this brawl featured some great spots, great heat and an surprising appearance from Roddy Piper, which got one of the spots of the night. Although this Wrestlemania was built around this match, it didnt actually top the show. Kurt Angle defended his World Title against Brock Lesnar in the final match, in an absolutely blistering main event. Elsewhere Stone Cold and The Rock battled for a third time on a Wrestlemania, in a match which ...  Read the complete review
