... although this would prove to be inaccurate. Another highlight of the Rumble was Rikishi who went on a streak of knocking people out leaving only himself in the ring, before he was joined by his partners Too Cool, who promptly convinced him to get down for the crowd, don the shades and start dancing. A real rumble moment. The card was also strong outside the Rumble, with Tazz making a hot debut defeating the undefeated Kurt Angle in a good match, a stunt filled Tag Team Tables match between the Hardy Boyz and The Dud...more

As a devoted, and very loyal, fan of the World Wrestling Federation, known more commonly as the WWF, for 11 years, it is fair to say that I have collected a fair amount of WWF merchandise during that time. Now, the only wrestling-related products I buy are magazines, and, of course, Videos. Tazz came out next and got a huge pop from his hometown fans. This was Tazz's first match in the WWF and he looked great, this match had some great suplexes from both men. Makes you wander why Tazz isn't being used ...

Rating:

WWE Royal Rumble 2000 was the first pay-per-view event to be broadcasted live on Channel 4 in the UK. It is also the most violent and extreme WWE event, comparable to ECW in many ways. The first match is Kurt Angle VS "A Mystery Opponent" although it was well known by the time of the event that Tazz would be his opponent. The match is short, but entertaining. The aim is achieved: Tazz is put over as a tough guy and Angle as a cry baby (listen to him moan afterwards). Then The Dudley Boyz take on The Hardy Boyz in a brutal Table Match. I say brutal because the chair shots are incredibly stiff and the tables seem to explode on impact. It's ...
