Vengeance 2001 is a great PPV from that period when the Invasion was just getting out of the way, and in the wake of that fallout isn't as awkward a PPV as you might expect. The first match is admittedly quite a strange one; Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert, an odd team, face off against Christian and Test, in a minimal but watchable enough bout. WWF VENGEANCE 2001 was the first WWF pay per view since the end of the WCW/ECW invasion. Therefore this pay per view consisted of matches to reunite the belts into one with the highlight being the matches for the titles. Ric Flair had brought the rest of the shares for the WWF so was joint owner of the company with Vince mcMahon and made matches for Vengeance that would bring the titles together and the titles be undisputed.
