Advantages: Easy viewing with high impact
Disadvantages: very few
OK so Im not into comic books and I dont know the in's and outs of Marvel, as such I give a review as a film fan only.
I loved all three of the X Men movies but wasn't too excited when I heard about the Origin's idea, how silly of me! I LOVED this film.
As the title suggests this is about where Wolverine comes from and his days before X Men. We begin with the boy James (Logan) and his older brother and watch them grow through the ages savagely training their mutant skills. Apparently Logan has more of a conscience and trys to live as a 'normal' person. Obviously is past company is never going to let this happen and so a story evolves.
Hugh Jackman is fantastic in this role he manages to be both animalistic and emotionally human. Of course this is a comic book character but Jackman is certainly not 2 dimentional.
As for the supporting cast the beastly Victor is mesmorising the way the special effects have him moving. I particularly enjoyed Gambit and my one disappointment in this films is that we didn't see enough of him. Perhaps poor Gambit got left on the cutting room floor but alas the film was enhanced by his presence no matter how brief it was.
In sum, a fanastically enjoyable film and wont let fans down.
Summary: High actions, lots of fun
