Advantages: storyline, action and special effects

Disadvantages: felt like it moved quite fast

X-men is a story of people, across the world, who are born with mutated chromosomes which give them superhuman abilities. These mutants are often feared and hated by people and communitied, however some of these mutants have joined forces and become the X-Men. In the first 3 films we learn parts of the story of one of the X-men, Wolverine but the story is patchy. X-men origins is a prequel to the series showing how Wolverine came to be. It shows mutant brothers Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) fighting side by side in many worlds wars with Wolverine having to keep Victor's temper and anger under control. The two become members of Team X, an elite group of mutants lead by Major William Striker. Wolverine abandons the group after becoming disgusted by their behaviour. Wolverine, now known as Logan, starts a new life as a lumberjack with his girlfriend. After Victor looses control and goes on a killing spree Striker offers Logan a chance to become invincible but at what costs?

As a big fan of the first three X-men I eagerly anticipated this latest installment and was not disappointed at all it is well written, the action and special effects were great and Hugh Jackman was awesome. The film also brings the whole story together brilliantly. A film I will be watching again and again as with the others!
