Advantages: Good Action
Disadvantages: Little Character Development
X-men origins Wolverine si the prequel to the X-men film Starring hugh Jackman as the angst ridden anti hero Logan.
The film follows Logan as He avenges the death of his lover and goes in search of his brother Victor played by a mesmerising Liev Schrieber.
In his journey to find him he agrees to be part of an experiment that will help defeat his enemy but realises that he has been tricked into joining an Army of Super Soldiers. Logan must use his Animal Instincs to put the bad Guys Down.
The Film is Ok but nothing but a mix a cameo's that seem to be the only thing pushing the narrative. Also there is iconsistancies with the First X-Men film with Victor played by a diffrent actor and the events of this film do not resinate with the character in the origional film.
The action looks great on the screen and is full of explosions and jaw dropping powers but amongst all the fx the film would of been better centering on Wolverine rather than other characters.
The film makes hint of what the character is capable of but only shows this in some very bad one liners. Its like he can talk bad but not act bad.
Hugh Jackman is again the main hero and is Ok as wolverine but seems as though he wanted to make a diffrent movie altogether.
Gavin Hood Directs and with the material does the best he can but the final look of wolverines claws are so bad that it worth him not coming back for a second Film.
The extras on the film are great wth a making of Documentary and a peek of wolverine drinking in a bar which teases you with whats to come.
An OK Film to the franchise
Summary: An Ok Addition to the franchise
