Film Review Only:

Yes Man is a comical film starring Jim Carrey. Personally I am quite sick and tired of the guy, but it was still a comical and entertaining film to watch. Jim Carrey plays as Carl Allen, who is an ordinary businessman depressed after losing his wife through divorce. He has since been very independent and detached from all his friends. He would say no to going out, no to doing anything and he wouldn't even answer phone calls.

Carl says no to everything and his life is looking bleak. Then an old friend comes along and persuades Carl to attend a 'Yes self-improvement Seminar'. Carl is subsequently picked on by the leader and persuaded to say yes at every opportunity. Carl takes onto the idea pretty well in the end and starts saying yes to things he would usually say no to.

As you can imagine this leads to many funny things such as Carl giving a lift to a tramp as well as letting him borrow and then have his phone and giving him money. He even says yes all the time at work, which leads to people's inventions being accepted all the time. However, all this 'yes' ironically pays off and Carl is rewarded. But will Carl find what he really wants - love.

It's a great film and the filming itself is done rather well. There aren't any special effects to appreciate though. The acting is pretty good too and Jim Carrey is quite humorous and weird as always. It contains bits of humour, romance and just pure entertainment. It's quite a good family film too and I would recommend watching it although it's nothing special!
