Advantages: Cheap to buy
Disadvantages: Whole auro of the film
Another romantic comedy starring mrs.ryan, doesnt sound particularly mouth watering at first does it. Although this movie should have been called "Sleepless in Seattle Part 2", I have to admit that I kind of enjoyed it. I'm all for originality, but since I cared what happened to the characters and actually found myself laughing aloud a few times, I was somehow able to look past the triteness of the concept. Of course, the whole time I was watching this movie, I was thinking how I should hate it for its unoriginality and character recycling, but then I'd find myself chuckling at one of the lines. I just wish Meg Ryan would play somebody besides herself for a change. I mean is it really acting, when the only thing your charcters ever change is their name and occupation? I think the combanation of Tom and Meg does not work at all, or maybe thats just me thinking of him in "Saving Private Ryan", now thats what you call a film. You've Got Mail just doesn't get the message right. Its as if some inhuman race has created a movie about love. O well, we'll just have to wait for the next installment. Buy it if your in to comedy, don't if your looking for a romantic flick. ** Rose **

- 17/05/01 It wasn't completely bad when I watched it, but as you say it's hardly an original movie and it really wasn't that great compared to most other films I could have watched at the time. |
