Young Guns 2 continues the story from The Young Guns. The first film was very good and i feel this film is an improvement over the first one. This film plays out the story of a genuine Wild West outlaw called Billy the Kid, to the dramatic conclusion. The film begins with an old man standing with a burro in a deserted locaton. A lawyer approaches the figure and asks "Bonny?....William H, Bonny, aka Billy the Kid?" It becomes clear that billy has come to get the pardon he was promised decades prior by Govenor Lewis Wallis (The vwery same man that wrote the novel Ben-Hur. Young Guns II is the second (!) instalment about Billy the Kid and his gang. William H Bonney a.k.a Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez) opens the film as a very old man, riding a horse across a dessert. He stops at the side of the road, where a young lawyer/historian (?) leaves his car. He starts to tell the lawyer/historian that he is Billy the Kid and that he is in fact alive, and was not killed in 1881 by Pat Garret as recorded. I assume it is meant to be set in the 50s but I am not sure. Billy then begins to tell the story of what actually happened on the lead up to that fateful day.
