... take place in the mid 1950s; but from the clothes and hairstyles the film seems to take place in the early 80s. This is just all round bad.
The DVD has no extras. The print quality is not good, with scratches and other damage very much in evidence. I assume the 18 certificate must be because of the nudity, some of which is quite frank. The BBFC are still a bit cagey about vaginas.
This is a bad, bad film....more

A review of the Arrow films DVD, which is currently available from amazon for about £6. This is an unbelievably bad horror film from 1981. The director, Jean Rollin (here using a pseudonym), is one of those European horror directors whose work was always as much about titillation as scares. Like Jess Franco and Walerian Borowczyk, he eventually ended up directing hard-core porn with titles like 'Folies anales'. This cheap, cheap little horror film was quite late in his career; he'd made his name doing lesbian vampire movies (and was the only French horror director of any note until the emergence of Alexandre Aja).
