Studio 8 XXL Producer Edition from Image-Line is the latest version of this fantastic piece of software that can literally turn your PC into a full-on home recording studio, though generally it does require you to have a fairly decent computer. Any CPU running at 1.4GHz or above with a minimum of 512MB of RAM (memory) should be sufficient. The piece of software comes with a lot of functions and all seems a little complicated at first, but it becomes a lot easier as you begin to familiarize yourself with it and actually started creating music. iTunes ... never used to like itunes, i was a windows media player person. Then i got my first ipod and have officially been converted. At first i was a bit unsure of itunes, it seemed hard to navigate and use. After about a week of using it i finally got the hang of everything and looking back it is actually easier to use. The music player is very good, allowing all your favourite songs from both cds and mp3s to be stored and acessed easily. The only things that guitar tablature lacks compared with actual sheet music is a lack of timing instuction.
