Sibelius

Sibelius is a niche product. And as you can imagine niche products are expensive. Sibelius is no exception. At almost £500 the user can notate scores to their hearts content and use almost any combination of rhythm and instrumentation to achieve this. This is helped by the library of different techniques and expressions that you would ... expect. Sibelius does it's job effortlessly and after a challengingat best learning curve you can start to create marvellous sounding pieces effortlessly. Then turning them into a professional looking score with different formatted parts is east and can be completed in a number of minutes, instead of having to rewrite certain parts as you will find in other programs.
Although it has a high price sibelius really will fufil every type of music you need to do, whether a muscian, composer, student or otherwise. This product makes the music writing easy and let's you concentrate on your creativity Read the complete review |

Sibelius

A very good program for composing and transposing music. I recently wrote both my GCSE compositions on Sibelius and found it was easy to use, most of the time. You can write in full score, for a diverse rance of instruments, from the recorder to the digeredoo, and add lots of notation, and musical devices like glissandos. This suprised ... me, as some other programs like this don't alow for things like dynamics. It does take a while to get your head round the controls, but once you get the hang of it then its easy to create and modify your music. Another usefull thing it does is back up your scores every time you shut the program down. This means you never lose any work, especially on unrealiable computers like the ones i have at school. I really recomend it to people/schools doing music GCSE i have found it very useful. Read the complete review |

sibelius is fantastic. sibelius is a score writing program which enables you to print professional looking music which you can copyright, title and even put your name as the comser... i have recently arranged the asutin powers theme tune using sibelius...it looks really effective cos you can print it as a score and you can ... extarct the seperate parts. I have copyrighted it and put my name on it...obviously there are some rules you have to abide by like: if it's an arrangement you must put the original composer's name on it. you can write music for a numer of differne t instruments... wind, brass, percussion, and string parts...you can even write parts for the smallest percussion ensemble... it is fantastic...every musician should have a copy... it is quite expensive but it's well worth it! you can get updates from the internet - free and you can also get online support... i have had sibelius for a while so if you have it and don't know how to do soemthing i would be happy to try and help... i'm quite new to dooyoo so any comments would be welcome... Thankyou and goodnight!
