ACDSee Photo manager 9 is a very capable photo manager which contains some image editing options. The manager can scan the PC or newly inserted drives and build a database of images. The program interface works well and provides folder thumbnails and the actual image view on one screen. The layout can be tailored to suit user needs. If I have a criticism it is for switching to the image editing function which requires a bit of getting used to. The program image database holds all relevant information on each image and provides good options for image tagging and updating.
