Advantages: Easy to use, powerful, fast and reliable

Disadvantages: Not as many EQ settings as other (more expensive) products

I'm a radio producer, so I use this software everyday. If you have to do any kind of sound editing, I'd highly recommend it. It's fast, relatively easy to pick up and start using, and has quite a nice set of plugins for effects out of the box. Although it obviously isn't as powerful as something like Pro Tools, it is much less expensive, and does the basics very well. Multi track editing is excellent - very quick and cut and move audio around the mix, controlling fades is extra easy with the drag handles. You can also control the type and amount of EQ direct from the multitrack view now, rather than having to apply EQ to your original audio file in the waveform view. Blocks can be groups and moved around the mix together, so it's easy to keep things in place while you experiment with your sound. It is also pretty reliable - I very rarely experience any crashing, which is important when you're doing mission critical work.

Summary: My sound design package of choice. Reliability and speed are fantastic.
