This express version of Logic 8 gives you all of the most popular and useful features of it's big brother, at a much lower price.
It lets you become as creative as you like with the music you create, providing you with a long list of audio interfaces and control surfaces.
You are also able to explore various effects and instruments created by third party manufacturers.
With Logic Express 8 you can create your music whenever and wherever you are, without the need of any hardware, and without any limitations of not using hardware, all you need is a mac computer and a copy of Logic Express 8 and you are ready to go!
There are 36 software instruments including ultrabeat(a drum machine) and EXS24(a sample instrument). There re also over 70 different effect plug-ins that can be used with any instrument or recorded sound, giving you the ability to recreate church halls or different rooms with the use of reverb and delay units.
There is still a piano roll, which allows you to draw in the notes that you want a particular instrument to play, a sample editor so that you can take small sections of a song, and edit them, and a high quality micx window, where you can add the finishing touches to your mic using things like panning automation, volume automation and various other housekeeping tasks.
