After using an old version of quicktime for the last few years, I was seriously suprised when I downloaded the latest version. The small download for the setup file unfortunately did not mean that they had finally made a download friendly version of a program , just that the setup file installed from the apple server. Fine if you have a quick modem and free net access, but otherwise try to get in on a CD. What suprised me though was all the new features, rather than just videos and pictures quicktime now supports a range of formats including the brilliant MP3. Once you've chosen from the (extensive) download options you click OK and away it goes. ... Read the complete review

If you don't already have Quick Time on your computer then you better download it. But before you do maybe you'd like to read this first! Apple's Quick Time is currently in its 4th version. A new 5th version will be available in the New Year. If you have an old version of QuickTime then you should upgrade as you might find that your old version won't play new material very well (E.g. movie plays but no sound is heard). Quick Time allows you play most of the main media formats available. Mainly MP3's, WAV, AVI, MIDI, and MOV. If those letters mean absolutely nothing to you then basically what I should say is that Quick Time can handle a ... Read the complete review

This media player made by apple is a basic player for windows. It it a similar version to that made for the apple mac and i-mac.It has most of the features of the mac version but has been made by apple in an attempt to take over the windows market and convert it to an apple market so dont expect them to give you all the good bits. This player has good feature and can support a wide variety of media formats including some aplle mac and i-mac madia formats. This player is available for free so if you want to play apple madia formats without any hitch then this player is for you. One bad thing about this player is that it doesn't have all of te ... Apple's QuickTime media player is one of the main three video and audio players that is in current use. In terms of functionality, QuickTime falls a little behind Microsoft's excellent Media Player 7, but is still a necessary player for all systems. The addition of QuickTime is a necessity to all web users, as a large amount of video media is supplied in this format. However, for those users who aren't regular web users, the use of QuickTime is not strictly necessary. The Apple Quicktime 'TV' section of this program is a useful tool for users with broadband connections, but for a range of home users this will prove to be unnecessary. ... Read the complete review

This media player has it all. Volume control bass and treble control, and a stop button and a play/pause button. That is until you put a film on it. This program is not particularly good as it runs the media clips very slowly. Yes, I have an old slow computer, but still windows media player manages to play the clips at a perfectly good speed. Also I have never actually found any music that you can play on this. This is a great shame as this product had such potential to be a good media player. However if you acquire it then don't be surprised if you are not highly impressed. Please leave a comment at the bottom to help me expand this opinion or tell ... Read the complete review
