Creating your own music arrangements and producing your own tracks has never been easier. Since the eJay phenomenon hit the shop shelves in the late 90s, the in demand brand has gone on to create an abundance of genre specific releases and royalty free add-ons and collections. The award winning software title family boasts such electronic and urban genre variety such as Dance, Rave, Techno, House and Hip-Hop releases, with additional alternative rock samples thrown in for good measures. The software itself features a basic 'drag-and-drop' music arrangement system, which allows inexperienced users who have never put together their own track before an extremely ... I've just laid down a massive dance beat...... It's a haunting little melody in a trancey kind of way, that's destined to top the charts in another couple of months, to be sure. Ok I'm dreaming again, I know. But with ejay dance 2+ it is easy to imagine that your creations WILL peak the charts - they just sound so professional. You get 16 tracks to use up for the massive array of sampled sounds that they provide. You can strike your own drum beat or use the vast selection on offer. You can record voice or any other sound you want or add in existing wave sounds and then tweak them to make them sound spot on. Laying down tracks ... Read the complete review

The eJay programs come in a couple of flavours - Dance eJay and HipHop eJay. There have been plenty of good reviews on this program, particularly on its sleeve, but it really isn't very good. The main problem is that it's a toy. When you realise this, you can start to enjoy it for what it is. You cannot make anything sounding vaguely original on it, due to the way you have to drag and drop the terrible preset wicka-witcha-waa scratches etc. onto the timeline. I promise that no matter what you do, the stuff you come up with will sound very dull to anyone else. The box of HipHop eJay tells you to "keep the flava real". How ghetto? Not at all. If ... Every wondered how todays DJ's make their millions? If you have, then buy a copy of E-Jay. It is a very easy program to get to grips with and will have you dancing away to your very own hit record. The program will also have you wondering wether you should have paid a fiver for that last dance track. You can make some good sounds on this baby and if you are a bit of a computer whizz then you can even add your own vocals over the top. The finished product of your creative endevour will have you picketing the record companies. The program has a decent range of sounds, beats, vocals etc. to chose from but after a while, they get a bit boring and all ... Read the complete review
