Advantages: Very realistic and some excellent features

Disadvantages: So many buttons to use you need a tutorial or a book

Wanting to move in to the digital art sector ,everything i was reading about was saying the software program i must have was Poser.
According to the magazines it was a program that assisted you in creating faces and bodys of humans and making them look 3d and life like,well im quite a novice so i did wonder if using this program was going to be to tough for me to use ,i would call myself computer literate and deicde i would have a go.
I brought my copy of poser 6 off Amazon uk it was £120.00 so i had to use my birthday money to cover it ,a little worried at what i had paid i hoped i was going to be able to use it ok.
It took over a week to arrive bit when it did i was really pleased,the installation info was straight forward and on my laptop it took just over 1 hour to install but my laptop is quite old so this is probably the maximum.
Whe the first page came up it was a little scary it had lots of tabs for Face ,cloth ect and lots of 3d skeletons to play with ,after a 10 minute play with all the buttons i was able to create my own ace on my dummy and change the view i looked at it from.
I decided i needed a tutorial so i took the poser tutorial on the sotware,i learnt how to move my charecter and how to render it,(put all the adjustments onto my dummy),i still have a awful lot to learn to get faces looking real and i need to learn how to grow hair on my dummy but on the whole im really pleased with what this program does even though i wont be using it for animation,i do think even though £120.00 is lower than the rrp it was alot for this product but then again i guess all software is becoming expensive.I would recomend this to people who have a high intrest in art or digital art,you can buy alot of books to help you use this program and give you ideas and when you see what this program is capable of you really wont be disapointed
