I've been using Reason since its first incarnation. Steadily got to grips with all the synths, samplers and effects over the years. It wasnt easy to learn, but I acquired a Reason Tutorial DVD which helped me lots - now I'd consider myself fairly advanced with it. I notice by reading some rebirth reviews that I’m not the only one that has wasted many an hour twiddling around with rebirth, it has an instant appeal and anyone with a good idea for a tune can make it happen with little classic training. There are plenty of reasons to buy 'Reason' from propellerhead software. It's simple to use It's powerful It's expandable It'll keep you from spending huge amounts of money on hardware that you probably don't need unless you've a professional recording studio! After using reason for a number of years i can safely say that it is one of the most powerful music production tools that is avalible for windows. It is easy to use once you know what you are doing (takes a few hours) and unlike software such as Fruity Loops creates a realistic sound with your music production. It has a number of samplers and synthesizers (with the ability to add more) which each create their own style and sounds to the software. However, one thing which limits it in a way that other music software isnt is the fact that it can not support Vst's.
