The XP version of iTunes used to work perfectly fine on both Windows XP and Vista but they rolled out an update marketed at 'supporting' Windows Vista - and all of a sudden the program was slow and sluggish. Coincidence?

It takes a long time to scroll from the top of my music library to the bottom because it tends to stick and stop responding. When I minimise the program, and then maximise it again, the UI goes crazy! And before you ask, my computer is relatively good and can easily handle running more or less every program on my computer at once - but it's only iTunes that decides not to work properly.

I have tried alternatives for syncing with my iPod but Apple seems to hate me for trying to do so - It's possible to use another program, but they all lack basic features.

I am sure that if I was using a Mac then iTunes would be perfect, but I am not. If you don't need to sync your iPod then stay away from iTunes. I use Winamp to play music on my computer and it always works, and it is fast. It's a shame that the Winamp support for iPods is a bit shitty.
