Itunes is the best thing that's happended to music for ages. Highly addictive for the the music fanatic and so easy to use.
You can download itunes free from the itunes site and it will also remind you when there's an update and give you the option of updating your software so you will always have the latest version.
Once it's installed (this doesn't take long), you can start your itunes collection, by copying music from CD or other files on your computer, and downleading from the itunes store, to which their is a direct link in your itunes control panel. a single songs costs 79p and albums between £5 and £10 and they are downloaded to your itunes library instantly. You can set up an itunes account and pay by debit or credit card or buy vouchers, which you can buy loads of high street shops and online.
From here the way you want to arrange your new collection is up to you, you can create playlists to organise say all your party tracks, or even a playlist for every day of the week, it's up to you. When you link you ipod up to itunes (just plug it in and it will detect it itself) all your new music and playlists is copied so you can enjoy them on the move.
The newest version of itunes has a new feature called genius which suggests other albums, song and bands you may be interested in based on your library and what you've been listening to.. It's pretty accurate too.
It doesn't just stop at music of course, you can add and download video, podcasts and images too.
This really is a great, easy to use program that makes sorting organising and adding to your music collection fun and quick.
