An excellent way to store, organise and play your music (iTunes)

I was introduced to iTunes by a Mac fanatic several years ago and I haven't looked back since.

For me iTunes is almost the perfect media player. iTunes makes it extremely easy to store, organise and play your music on your PC and it's great at syncing your collection with your iPod or iPhone (if you're lucky enough to have one).

Your songs are organised by artist and album and also strangely by genre, which is something I'd like to remove as I haven't arranged my music into genres. You can click on an artist's name to view all of their music and then click on an album title to filter the songs further. Another improvement I'd like to make is to the ordering of the music - artists and albums are currently show A-Z then numerics, I'd like to show numberics before the A-Z as I love 2Pac's music, but don't want to have to scroll down for it every time.

You can rate your music 1-5 stars and organise it into playlists that you can listen to depending on your mood.

My minor gripe with iTunes is that it's not as good at recording CDs as the old MusicMatch Jukebox was, plus when upgrading you have to download the whole application again (30mb+) rather than just a small update.

Other than that though, it's brill!
