Newest Review: ... an experience, the interpretation centre will complement your wanderings around the surrounding lanes looking for vistas over the battlefield. The land is still in use so this interpretation centre is important for an overview because if you come with little prior knowledge, Azincourt as a place is a baffling experience. There are relatively few authentic objects on display and those on display in a warehouse type space are small, damaged and require a good imagination. Museum is perhaps a bit of a misnomer for this interpretation centre located near Hesdin. Also worth noting is the interpretaion centre is not on a very special site as such ie unlike straddling the Royal Observatory Greenwich's meridian line where you can say it happened here, it didn't on this site regarding the battle. How many battles has this country fought? Thousands. How many against France? A good few. And how many of those did we win? Our fair share.
