Museum of Sex:
... museum of sex is one of the lesser known attractions of New York, located on West 27th street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue, and home to two perplexing floors of sex-related exhibits. *Look* The Museum is situated on a corner, surrounded by green marble and inconspicuous except for the banners advertising the new Sex life of Animals exhibit with facts about elephant sperm. You feel a little seedy as you ... Read the full review: Sextraordinary! by SophieRainbow |

Sarajevo Tunnel Museum (Bosnia & Herzegovina) ... more people that visit the museum, the more likely the project is to secure the funding it needs to keep it open so that future generations can learn what happened in Sarajevo. When the war was taking place I remember many of my own friends showing very little interest in it; to them Yugoslavia was a million miles away on the edge of Europe, but to me Yugoslavia was very much European and this bloody war was taking place right on our doorsteps. Today Europe is much bigger and the mountains of the Caucasus might be said to denote the edge of Europe as countries like Georgia and Ukraine seek to throw their lot in with the west; but the Caucasus are a hotbed of ethnic te... Galleria degli Uffizi ... s Uffizi is one of the iconic galleries of the world, and probably the best collection of paintings in Italy. Everybody with any interest in Italian (and by extension, European) painting of the last last few hundred years, but particularly Renaissance should try to visit. Uffizi being the busiest single building in Italy, it s not always easy to get in. In the summer, the queues are longer than the building itself, and as the number of people allowed in is sensibly limited, only early morning arrival (and half a day of more spent queuing) will ensure entry. In the winter things are better, but it s still sensible to allow for an hour s wait at least: we went ... Read the full review: Treasure Box by MagdaDH |

Museums & Art Galleries in Marseille ... was not particularly impressed with the number of museums and art galleries in central Marseille. However there are a few that I did find interesting, and definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Marseille with some time to kill. Musee Cantini, for example, has some great modern art, whilst the Musee d histoire (located beneath the Centre Bourse shopping centre) has some great ancient artefacts, including the worlds best preserved hull of a boat from the 6th century, and the ancient remains of what used to be the port in the Hellenic period. The only problem with the Musee d histoire is that all the descriptions in the exhibits are written in French. Still, entr...
