J. Paul Getty Museum ... institute, conservation institute, grant program, and leadership institute. The museum opened on December 16, 1997. It is owned an operated by the J. Paul Getty Trust. The museum collects and exhibits classical sculpture and art, European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, sculpture, decorative arts, and photographs. In respect to Getty's collecting intentions, the museum does not generally collect 20th or 21st century art, with the exception of photography.

This is a great place to visit. I used to work there, so my experience will be quite different than others. The admission is free. It has several pavilions showing a variety of antique and modern artworks. It is a very well-equipped museum. It is good to plan a day's trip there. The guide books are in many different languages. It takes around 40 minutes to reach my working station from the entrance. It includes parking in the museum, taking the train, checking-in with the security and walking through a long tunnel to get to my spot. There is a special parking space reserved for helicopter.
