Advantages: Beauty, colour, inspiration

Disadvantages: you'll have to travel all the way to Vienna to see it!

The Kunst Haus Museum in Vienna is the single most inspiring, colourful and joyous museum I have ever visited in my life. The building on it's own is a work of art, painted in black and white checks with colourful windows and trees and plants (called 'tree tenants') growing out of the upper floors of the building, which are now part of the structure that holds the building up I should imagine!

Hundertwasser's beautiful, unique abstract art is displayed throughout, along with information about the artist, photographs of sculptures and architecture, and even the building (the inside, outside - even the floors you walk on) are all of Hundertwasser's inspired beauty.

There is a floor offering ahibition from another artist, I believe it is currently Annie Leibovitz, the photographer. When I visited, the guest artist was the legendary H.R Giger the artist who brought us Alien, Dune and Jon Davis' from Korn's microphone stand (amongst many other amazing pieces!).

There is a cafe, and a wonderful gift shop. Even if you aren't normally an art lover, Hundertwasser's colourful and individual take on the world can't fail to capture your attention.

Summary: Beautiful art, an amazing day out, you'll remember it forever.
