One of the many educational and interesting places we visited in Israel this summer was the Israel Museum located in Jerusalem, not far from the parliament building. There are various buses that will stop at the museum, but it is a very popular spot for bus tours, so do be aware that if you are visiting independently, you would be advised to visit early. The current prices are 36 NIS per adult (around £6) and 18 NIS for a child (around £3). Do note however that children are allowed free admission on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
