A Must-See (British Museum)
Member Name: HooSoo
Advantages: no entrance fee Disadvantages: crowds
If you're looking for a more detailed intro of the museum I suggest you to read 'A Priceless Encyclopaedia in London'. I'm just say my impression for this famous museum in London. I won't say it is in parallel with Louvre in Paris. But it definitely is a must-see in London. There's no entrance fee, which I think is unbelievable cause even the toilet at Victoria Train Station charge an entrance fee of 20p per person. The museum is massive. If you wanna see everything in there you'll probably have to go several times. If you get tired in the museum, don't worry cos there are benches in there for you to sit. But these benches are always fully occupied, as visitors are numerous and everybody gets tired after spending 2 or 3 hours looking around. I actually got a bit bored after spending several hours in the museum, as I'm not artistic type of person and can easily get bored by just looking at artifacts and chinas and sculptures and.... you know, things like that, things that you normally find in a museum. When I first visited the British Museum in 1998, the thing that impressed me the most is the painting 'Sunlflowers', by Vincent van Gogh. So take a visit there, you are bound to see some treasure that you'll never see in elsewhere. Summary: |
