Advantages: Loads of chocolate to eat!!!!!

Disadvantages: Cost!

I visited Cadbury world recently, like the previous reviewer with the aid of Tesco Clubcard vouchers which certainly helps in the current financial status!

To begin with location - it was pretty easy to find coming from the south, and as soon as you hit the Midlands there are signposts everywhere that seem quite clear ad easy to follow always a good start to the day!

On arrival the entrace system and queue system seemed well organised and it w easy to see where to go - though the woman behind the counter was a little on the slow side!

The tour itself - well as you go in you get given a curly wurly and a packet of buttons - well thats a good start in my book! The tour continues with various styles of presentation, Video, Audio, Holgraphic, Scenery etc and even includes a vibrating bench! Further in you get given more chocolate - yeay - and get to see how some of the staff make various chocolates etc - very interesting with some good tips! Towards the end is a short 'ride' where you go through a world of cocoa beans very slowly in a slightly cramped pod! All in all the tour was very interesting!

Following that there is a section called essence where you hear and watc moreof the cadbury story through holographic people - very nicely done and interesting! However the highlight of the day - you get a pot of warm melted cadbury chocolate - you can add things like biscuit or marshmllow to it, but quite frankly thats just stupid - why ruin perfection!

The shop there is fairly reasonable price wise - not cheap, but acceptable! Very good range though with some rare items of confectionary!

In conclusion i would recommend this as a good half day/few hours out tht will be enjoyed by all (unless you dont like chocolate) but it is a little expensive - so save your clubcard vouchers!

Summary: A nice half day out for the family but a little costly!

I went here years ago and remember not wanting to wear my paper hat that we were meant to put on for hygiene reasons lol!
