Science Museum (London):
... the good old British weather managed to make a significant dent into my half term break plans, the planned trip to Drayton Manor Park was postponed until the summer, both horse riding days were wet and the picnic rug remained rolled up and dry under the stairs, so in desperation we ventured off to London for some indoor stimulation at the trusty old Science Museum as it had been at least two if not three years s... The World of Beatrix Potter ... POTTER HISTORY Beatrix Potter is a well known novelist, who over the years brought us the famous Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck, Miss Tiggy Winkle, Benjamin Bunny and many more cute looking characters. The famous novelist lived most of her life in the Lake District, she had a farm in sawry. She loved the lakes so much that she then went on to buy more and more land, eventually she donated this to the national trust so it would never be ruined. Beatrix Potter was born in London in 1866 and passed away in 1943, during her life she has written and perfected many of these short stories, which children still love and adore today. In the memories of this great nove... Read the full review: The Magical World Of Beatrix Potter On The Lake District's Door Step. by bubbles12 |

Portsmouth City Museum and Records Office ... said in my recent review of the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester that I did not think I could see a work of art by a major artist in Portsmouth, it is now time to set the record straight. The Portsmouth City Museum and Records Office is barely a mile from where I live, so I decided one Sunday morning to see what sort of culture there was right on my doorstep. To my surprise, I discovered a small sculpture by Barbara Hepworth as well as a work by Victor Pasmore. I therefore stand corrected. The Tower of London ... Tower of London is one of the oldest tourist attractions in London, and certainly has the most history. Kings and Queens, and torture and beheadings. All the grizzly details. Tower of London is included in the London Pass. Entry without it is around £15.00 Meet the Yeoman at the gate and be taken on a shorty histroy lesson on the tower and the many stories. It s a good idea to have £1-4 in gold coins to tip the Yeoman as you leave the chapel at the Tower. This is where you re tour ends. From here visit the Crown Jewels and watch a short film of the queens coronation. The white tower old many pieces of armor, swords and guns, and many many stairs. There is a l...
