Advantages: Lots of history, really interesting
Disadvantages: Man U fans (or genuine footy lovers) only
Manchester United have a vast advantage over the rest.....cash ! They have this due to the massive merchandising operation they do worldwide. Shirts, tshirts, videos and god knows what else.
They also heve the club museum, which is a splendid day for ant United (or football) fan to see the deep history of this club.
From the formation as Newton Heath, to the great side of the forties and fifties, through the Tragedy of munich and the elation of the european cup win in 68, right through to the astonishing treble in 1999, this museum catalogues anything it can about the club.
Old shirts, newspaper cuttings and the infamous programme from the game against sheff weds in 1958 when the teamsheet was blank after the crash, and the words United will go on, were all that could be seen (very rare)
There is a chance to see trophies galore, and have photos taken with them on certain days.
Members get in free but its not a lot if you arent, just remember the megastore is over the road and the kids will spend far more in there !
